NATE Kicks-Off NATE Bowl

New Contest Open to All HVAC/R Contractors

(January 1, 2008, Arlington, Va.) — North American Technician Excellence (NATE) is
giving all HVAC/R contractors the opportunity to “get in the game” in 2008 by competing
in its inaugural NATE Bowl contest—a fun, inclusive, and rewarding way to build interest
in getting more technicians certified and recertified in 2008.

Rex Boynton, President of NATE, says, “NATE Bowl is our way of creating some
good-natured competition among contractors and to provide a wide-array of exciting
rewards for what most of them are already doing— improving the professionalism of the
HVAC/R industry.”

NATE Bowl is designed to get more technicians NATE-certified, or recertified, if
needed to get the best HVAC/R team on the field in 2008. For contractors, that can mean fewer callbacks, less time per job, and greater efficiency and productivity.

A wide variety of prizes will be awarded monthly in respective “divisions,” which
are based on the size of the contractor. In late 2008, the grand prize will be awarded—
an all-expense-paid trip for two to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Fla., in 2009.

Boynton adds, “This contest is open to all HVAC/R contractors of any size
nationwide without regard to their technicians’ NATE-certification status. They simply
need to go to www.natex.org/natebowl for more information and to register.”

NATE, headquartered in Arlington, Va., was founded in 1997 and is the only
technician certification organization governed, owned, operated, developed and
supported by the HVAC/R industry.
