NATE cannot provide training because it is a conflict of interest for a non-profit to do both testing and training. NATE does not sell, create, or participate in creation or profits from the production of training materials.

Several of NATE’s partners provide training materials they have created which are for sale. The following associations and companies have products or training they sell to technicians who want training materials to study for NATE certification.

Check Information, Forms & Data Testing for a List of Scheduled NATE Tests. Also, refer to the KATEs (Knowledge Areas of Technician Expertise) for a knowledge base from which all test questions are created. No question will be on the NATE test unless it is derived from a KATE. The KATEs are arranged in an outline form so you can cross-reference them with the index at the rear of any HVAC/R test or reference book to locate correct information to study.
