In this section of our Web site, you will find everything you need to know about Certification and Recertification, from the basics of NATE Certification, in Certification 101, to trade publications. You will be able to locate training and testing organizations, check your test results and see where the next trade conference will be held.

NATE Certification tests represent real working knowledge of HVAC and HVACR systems and candidates can earn installation, service or senior certification in one or more specialty areas. Currently NATE certifications are based on Residential, Light Commercial HVAC Systems and Refrigeration systems. NATE exams are designed to allow you to be certified in specific system areas.

Exams are available for installation, service and senior technicians. NATE's Knowledge Areas of Technician Expertise (KATEs) cover all knowledge, skills, and abilities the technician should possess.
