Special Considerations for ADA

The NATE test complies with the Americans With Disabilities Act. Technicians with ADD or dyslexia, or for whom English is a second language may have a reader to help them read the test questions and answers--however, the reader must be someone who is non-technical and not employed in the HVAC/R industry. Accommodations for ADA consideration must be requested a couple of weeks before the test session to let the test administrator, testing facility, or proctor make arrangements for the candidate to take the exam.
